Of course, you have a specific niche for your website. I mean, it’s hard to create a website that just has everything under the sun. If you plan to optimize it, it will definitely be a lot of hard work and almost impossible for any SEO expert to work on. To make the most out of your website and to be included on top of Google’s search results, you must have pre-defined keywords. What do I mean by this? For example, you are in a Finance consultancy industry in Brisbane, you may want to focus on articles with keywords like “finance consultant in Brisbane”, “financial advisor in Brisbane”, and the likes. These keywords are some of the search terms used by people who are seeking for the kind of services that you offer. This tool allows me to see viral posts using the keywords I type on the search bar. This way, I am able to think of topics that will spark the interests of my followers. It also gives me links to viral videos and photos with the same keywords, which is likewise useful. Remember, content does not just mean paragraphs. It can also come in the form of instructional videos, testimonials, Infographics, photos, and others. So, might as well spice up your article with picture and video. Just don’t overdo it or else it’ll lose its sense.

  1. Think of working titles

After doing the first two steps, it’s time to get your smartphone, laptop, or journal to jot down some article titles. Having at least 10 article titles to start with is suggested, so you have enough content for the first two and a half months (1 blog post per week). One month after you launch, it’s time to think of another month’s worth of content so you or your writer can continue writing.

The best time to start hiring a freelance writer is when your website is being created, let’s say at least 2 months before your target launch. This gives you and your writer enough time to work on your content and do some proofreading. I believe you wouldn’t want posting half-baked content on your website, right?

  1. Make sure all the tabs on your website has content before you go live

The “Blog” section isn’t the part of your website that needs content. Other tabs include the homepage, about, services, contact, and so forth. Make sure you have also gone through the content of each tab before you launch your website.
